Am I suitable for Prolieve® treatment?
Prolieve® is indicated for BPH patients with a prostate size between 20 grams and 80 grams. There are other criteria to evaluate and it is essential that your doctor considers Prolieve® is suitable for you.

Should I continue my medication after prolieve treatment?
Prolieve® treatment aims to relieve BPH symptoms without the need for ongoing medication. However, your doctor will advise you on whether continued use of BPH medication is necessary.

How soon will my symptoms improve?
Majority of patients are able to urinate with ease immediately after the procedure. Significant improvements of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) such as urinary flow, frequency, urgency and nocturia will be seen as early as 2 weeks post-treatment.

How long will my results last?
Prolieve® offers long-term results, with many patients remaining free of BPH symptoms for up to five years. It is important to note that BPH is a progressive condition, and treatment results may vary based on individual lifestyle and circumstances.

Will Prolieve® treatment affect my sexual function?
Approximately 97% of patients treated with the Prolieve® System did not experience any form of erectile dysfunction after the procedure.

Is the procedure painful?
The Prolieve® procedure begins with the administration of a local anesthetic at the catheter insertion site, ensuring that you experience only slight discomfort during the session. Some discomfort may also occur from the temperature probe inserted rectally. Overall, the procedure is well tolerated.
